- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1 cup water or plant-based milk of choice (we used half water, half Ripple milk)
- 1 small banana, peeled
- 2 dates, pits removed
- 6 pecans
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Optional: additional pecans & sliced bananas for topping

- Add banana, dates, cinnamon, and pecans to blender or food processor; pulse until you have a thick paste.
- Transfer the thick paste to a small pot and cook over medium-low heat -- constantly stirring -- about 2 minutes or until bananas become fragrant.
- Add liquid and bring mixture to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer and add oats; cook uncovered for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and serve.
- Optional: top with additional pecans & sliced bananas.
