As the holiday season draws to a close, it leaves [many of] us with just one last party to prep for -- New Year's Eve. Now, we know many of you will be going to bed early in preparation for our big New Year's Day Sale, but that's no excuse for showing up to a party empty-handed! Luckily these candied party nuts are easy to make and very transportable. PREP TIME: 10 mins     |     TOTAL TIME: 37 mins      |      SERVINGS: 8 INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup raw walnut halves
  • 1 cup raw peacan halves
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbs organic grass-fed butter
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat with coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Combine walnuts, pecans, almonds and cashews in a large bowl. Add salt, black pepper, cumin and cayenne; toss to coat.
  3. Heat sugar, water and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter is melted. Cook for 1 minute and remove from heat. Slowly pour butter mixture over the bowl of nuts and stir to coat.
  4. Transfer nuts to the prepared baking sheet and spread into a single layer.
  5. Bake nuts in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Stir nuts until the warm syrup coats every nut. Spread into a single layer, return to the oven, and bake until nuts are sticky and roasted about 6 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
