On March 5th, our Ocean location unveiled its new community education room. The room is designed as a place where the Dean’s community can share mind, body, and spirit practices. In addition, Dean’s will offer free cooking classes, wellness lectures, and a variety of lifestyle enhancing forums all to educate and bring people together. At the opening, several participants recognized Owner Dean Nelson for making the new community room possible. “I am so grateful for all that Dean Nelson has done for our community,” said Abby Cahn Anton, a community partner. “His generosity and vision are immense. When Dean opened his Ocean store in 1996, he raised the bar on the availability of fresh organic produce in our area. In the past 20+ years, I have seen countless ways that Dean gives back. This new community room is merely the latest manifestation of his lifelong mission to make our world a better place.” Nourish Coach Wendy Bright-Fallon agreed. “Having Dean as a leader in the community, promoting healthy mind and body, is so important,” she said. “It is clearly evident that Dean walks the talk. We feel confident that the research has been done to guarantee all the products in his stores are quality and meet the Nourish Coaches’ standards. “The new community room is a super gathering space for like-minded people and practitioners who want to share their wisdom and grow their healthy lifestyle,” she added. “ What a great night christening the new community room at Dean's in Ocean,” said Lisa Wielgomas of Hackensack Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine. “This space will truly help build a healthy sense of community. Thanks for having us along for the ride.” Dean’s new community room will host monthly nutrition, yoga, and meditation classes. The room will also be a free rental space for like-minded people and practitioners to share their knowledge and encourage a healthy and holistic lifestyle.  If you would like to host a class or reserve the room for your organization, please contact Britt Bernstein at [email protected]
